A Glimpse into the Pearl
Apart from being very intelligent and having similar limbs as humans, gorillas are awesome at parenting. The female gorilla never gets into oestrus until the newly born gorilla is wise enough to be precocious. They never let any other gorilla help them wean their babies which humans are good at doing in form of 'alloparenting'. With this, the gorillas grow strong as a tribe with less strife within their families. The fast growing population of humans with increased alloparenting has increased family wrangles and psychological instability.
