Entogoro (Runyege)

Media: Charcoal pencils, Da Vinci paper, monozero eraser

This is one of the most desired traditional dances by foreigners in Uganda. It is a courtship dance for the Batooro and Banyoro performed by vibrant aspirants for the opposite sex they are attracted to. It is specifically danced at the time to choose a marriage partner. The name was derived from the rattles (binyege/ entogoro) tied unto the legs of men to make exciting sounds and rythms syncopated as the main beat of the dance as much as it is blended with drum rythms and songs.
